Whatever is leftover from dinner the night before is lunch the next day. If no leftovers a sandwiche usually does the trick

Okay, I hate to admit this but I'm still making PBJ sandwiches with super crunchy potato chips and almost vegan chocolate chip cookies for my daughters lunches. While I have tried to spice it up a bit by trying something else (my girls are now 12, 10 and 8) we always seem to come back to the basics. So, before you roll your eyes at my clear lack of spontenaity I must confess that last year my youngest daughter (7yrs old at the time) informed me that her lunch is the prize of the class. Apparently, and according to her BFF's and classmates, her mother (that would be me) makes THE BEST peanut butter and jelly sandwiches EVER. I wish I could attribute this to my savvy culinary expertise and unparalleled creativity but the simply truth is I've had YEARS of practice.

My lunchbox staple is either a salad that I change up by adding cold chicken breast one day, a little tuna salad the next, or some left over beef. If I don't pack a salad it's usually a tuna fish sandwich, which I have loved since I was little. I ♥ the dots on the adorable Built NY bag above—it would be great to tote a stylish lunch!

Well it may sound funny but my Grandson says I make the best grilled cheese sandwich he's ever had. I told him it's because I add a secret ingredient that no one else adds, "the love" Though it doesn't hold up so well for a school lunch, but for lunch when he's visiting us, it's always on the top of his list.
